GET ON BOARD - TRUSTEE RECRUITMENT CAMPAIGN 07

Have you ever given any thought to becoming a trustee for a voluntary organisation?
Volunteer Centre Camden is currently promoting the Get on Board campaign which is part of a national initiative to encourage people to volunteer as trustees with charities.

Make a Difference
Being a trustee can be a rewarding role, offering the opportunity to shape local services and make a difference in the community.

What do trustees do?
Being a trustee is something that will involve working with others, getting involved in strategic planning, and ensuring that the organisation is meeting its aims and objectives.

What are the benefits of being a trustee?
We have over 20 organisations who are currently looking for people to join their board of trustees. Many organisations are seeking people with particular expertise eg financial experience, marketing / management experience, legal qualifications etc.

Who can become a trustee?
Most people over 18 are eligible to trustees.

What should I think about before becoming a trustee?

· What skills and experience do I have to offer?

· What causes am I interested in?

· Are there any kinds of organisations that I would really like to work for?

· Do I have the free time and energy to commit as a trustee?

How can we help you become a trustee?
Volunteer Centre Camden will provide training for prospective trustees, and will help match you to the organisation that best meets your interests and can make good use of any skills or knowledge you may have to offer.
